Improving Language Assessment Literacy for In-Service Saudi EFL Teachers

Therefore, improving teachers’ language assessment literacy (LAL) is one of the most important factors in assuring quality testing and (LTA). Thus, this study aimed to investigate perceived level LAL among Saudi in-service English as a foreign (EFL) teachers. Additionally, it identify aspects that EFL teachers wish improve through further professional training. Two research questions were formulated achieve aims; a) what teachers? b) What do training? A questionnaire was administered collect data. Fifty female instructors at King Abdulaziz University responded online questionnaire. To analyze data, SPSS software used. Regarding LAL, results indicated lack well-developed knowledge literacy. The findings showed majority received either no training or basic LAL. In regard needs, highligted there need for nearly all with priority being given different content areas LTA. Finally, recommended providing sufficient
